Aluminum Foil Tape take high tensile strength aluminum foil as carrier coated one side with Synthetic Rubber Resin adhesive or Solvent Acrylic adhesive, then protected with a silicone coated release paper. It can be used for coupling and sealing pipe joints in ventilation, air condition and refrigeration systems, for coupling and sealing boards, panels, blocks or pipe joints in implementing construction-and-assembling operations, Protects equipment against vapor, dust, moisture and contamination, Prevents corrosion, Heat-reflecting covering.

Aluminum backing provides excellent reflection of both heat and light.
High quality adhesive with strong adhesion and holding power offers permanent sealing and bonding on Foil-Scrim-Kraft Facing joints and seams sealing in HVAC ductwork application.
Low moisture vapor transmission rate makes it an excellent vapor barrier.

A: Yes it does. Aluminum foil tape use soft temper aluminum foil as backing, so it can be teared by hand easily.

Q: Does Aluminum foil tape flame retardant?

A:Yes, it does. Generally speaking aluminum foil tape is not easy to spread fire, but if you want it improved on fire resistance, we highly recommond the product of Flame Retardant Aluminum Foil Tape.

Q: How do we choose the best Tape Aluminium Foil?

A:You have to consider the thickness of the aluminum foil, if you need it strong you'd better choose the thicker foil, generally the thickness of foil less than 30um is Utility Grade, and the thickness over than 30 um will be a high perfomance grade.

Q: How do we choose the adhesive types of the aluminum duct tape?

A:We mainly use Synthetic Rubber adhesive / Solvent Acrylic adhesive on normal application aluminum foil tape. Solvent Acrylic adhesive serve wider range of temperature than Synthetic Rubber adhesive, and if you need it high temperature resistant over than 120°C, it have to use silicone adhesive which can withstand high temperature not over than 250°C.
